Equity Chambers was designed by architects Oakley & Parkes, built by contractors Weavell & Keast and was completed in 1931. Originally named the Equity Trustees Company Building it is now home to Monash University Post Graduate Law School, Law Institute of Victoria, 77 purpose built Barristers Chambers, Donato restuarant and Flash Flowers.

The ground floor chamber was, until late 2001, owner-occupied by Equity Trustees and it is understood the upper levels were Melbourne’s first purpose built Barristers Chambers. The Chambers are rich in legal history and have accommodated some of Melbourne’s most respected and colourful Barristers over the past 76 years.
